11 & 12 August Amber Weather Warning, Recycling & Waste Containers To Be Put Out Earlier

Shropshire residents who are due to have their recycling and waste collected on Thursday and |Friday this week (Aug 11-12) are being advised to leave their containers out the night before.

With an amber heat warning expected, recycling and waste crews are set to start an hour earlier than normal with first collections taking place at 6am.on those days.

This will allow the crews to take appropriate water breaks and to complete their rounds before they are faced with the hottest temperatures of the day.

It means that all collections throughout the day are likely to take place at least an hour before your normal collection time, but will help to ensure the wellbeing and safety of the crews.
